Cowrywise Joins EnterpriseNGR to Strengthen Financial Inclusion and Position Nigeria for Global Competitiveness

Cowrywise- What you need to know to invest in 2025

Community, product, and culture have powered Cowrywise’s 7-year journey to strengthen financial inclusion and democratise wealth for nearly 1% of Nigeria’s population. Its impact is clear: nurturing the next generation of wealth builders through the Cowrywise Ambassador Program, which equips students with financial and career skills; advancing women’s financial inclusion across 12 Lagos communities in partnership with the Lagos State Office on Sustainable Development Goals; and reshaping how Nigerians engage with money through the Simplified Report.

In July 2025, Cowrywise further cemented its leadership by joining EnterpriseNGR, Nigeria’s leading platform for advancing financial and professional services.

Since its incorporation in 2018, EnterpriseNGR has consolidated the voice of Nigeria’s financial services sector, driving policies that support economic growth and human capital development. Cowrywise’s membership underscores its commitment to not only building wealth for individuals but also shaping the future of Nigeria’s financial ecosystem.

On Friday, August 14, 2025, EnterpriseNGR, led by CEO Obi Ibekwe and Director of Policy & Public Affairs Lami Adekola, visited Cowrywise as part of its membership onboarding. During the visit, Ms. Ibekwe highlighted a few of EnterpriseNGR’s strategic initiatives, including:

  • The Lagos International Financial Centre Council, designed to position Lagos as a global finance hub by attracting foreign investment, enabling seamless trading, and enhancing market competitiveness.
  • The Youth of Enterprise initiative which equips young Nigerians with vital experiences, networks, and opportunities to thrive in the future of work.

In his closing remarks, Razaq Ahmed, CFA, Co-Founder & CEO of Cowrywise, reiterated the company’s commitment: “This partnership aligns perfectly with our values at Cowrywise. Together with EnterpriseNGR membership, we will accelerate financial inclusion and empower more Nigerians to build lasting wealth.”

The partnership between Cowrywise and EnterpriseNGR marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s financial services landscape. By combining Cowrywise’s track record of driving financial inclusion with EnterpriseNGR’s platform for collective advocacy and sector growth, both organisations are positioned to accelerate wealth creation, empower young Nigerians, and strengthen Nigeria’s competitiveness on the global stage.

This partnership is one of Cowrywise’s many strategic initiatives aimed at expanding financial inclusion and access. Over the past year, we have collaborated with the Lagos State Office for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to empower women in hard-to-reach communities with the financial knowledge and tools they need to thrive.
