Have you ever met a young person who is more fixated on slow and steady growth than overnight success?
If you haven’t, then you’re in luck. Meet Collins.
Streetwise episode 5 is a conversation with Collins, a dancer and performer who took a day job at a mall restaurant to fund his over 10-year-old dance dream.
Cocolee – as his fans call him, is a young creative living in Lagos who started dancing at the age of 10 and has now decided to make a career out of it. He is inspired by his fans and his goal to be as big as his idol, Nigerian Artist – Pocolee.
We had the most fun conversation with him on this one, because his energy and confidence throughout this episode were contagious.
He spoke to us in a rather excited tone about how much he earns doing freestyle dance routines for strangers at the mall, and even from the sale of tickets to his performances.
He has followed the course and is currently reaping the benefits, and money – which we hope he saves on Cowrywise ?. We won’t know until we find out, right? Catch up on this fun episode 5 of Streetwise ?

Ọpẹ, this write up came at the right time. Like it’s juju for me.
I just finished sending my mum money from my first salary and i panicked when i read this. I love what i did but you see that black tax ehh??. It’s to learn to say no very well. I have a weakness and that’s being agreeable. Women tend to be more agreeable than men, but if i want to fulfill my goal, i must do the needful.
Thanks for this juju write up. Like you read my mind. ??

Moral of the lesson: Do not help others to your own detriment whether today or for your future needs
Truth be told, I have never heard of or even read about “the black tax” and “sandwich generation” in all these years.
