For some, their phone went missing while for others, they may have unintentionally shared their password with a \u201cfriend\u201d who can then access their funds.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are security matters that we take very seriously. When it comes to ensuring users&#8217; funds are safe, we have systems that have been built to automatically run checks. If anything looks out of place, that user\u2019s account will be flagged until we can verify that the owner of the account is the only one who has access to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to quickly secure your account \u2013 Introducing the \u201cDisable your account\u201d feature<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past few months, we\u2019ve added several new features to Cowrywise to help you grow wealth steadily and securely.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re always listening for suggestions that customers think will make their life easier, and many Cowrywise features are birthed from things customers request consistently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cDisable your account\u201d feature allows you to quickly \u201cblock\u201d your account such that no one can access it. This is only unblocked when you reach out to a customer support representative and provide the necessary information that certifies that you own the account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to disable your account on Cowrywise&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"648\" height=\"648\" src=\"https:\/\/cowrywise.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Disable-account-GIF.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7131\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you ever suspect that you\u2019re in danger and need a quick way to secure your funds:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cwry.se\/app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Login<\/a> and tap your name on the top left<\/li><li>Click \u201cProfile\u201d<\/li><li>Tap \u201cSecurity\u201d. At the bottom of the page, tap \u201cDisable your account\u201d<\/li><li>Follow the quick prompts to complete the process<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once done, your account is safe until you\u2019re ready to begin using it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please note that disabling your account does not stop your automated debits<\/em>. <em>Your automated plans will still be topped up even though no one can access the account when it is disabled.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do you reactivate your account?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your account will be reactivated when you reach out to our <a href=\"https:\/\/cowrywise.com\/blog\/cowrywise-customer-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">customer support<\/a> and provide the necessary information that shows you own the account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continually committed your security <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re building the best and safest saving and investment platform.
