It’s going to be a really short one today because I’m typing this while trying to locate my taxi. I can hardly think straight with the deafening sound of the sirens that have filled the air here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had to leave my home really early this morning because I heard your President was arriving in Lagos today, and there would be a lot of traffic. That was a false alarm. Or maybe it wasn’t, and I had just escaped the hell that would have been the traffic because I left really early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I still hold a tiny grudge against everyone who made me wake up by 4:30 a.m. though. Because why was I at the office by 5:00 a.m. when I’m not the custodian of Cowrywise gate keys ???????<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today was really long because I had an early start. I could almost swear that it was already 5:00 p.m before I saw the “food is here” Slack notification. Apparently, it was just about noon. I had yam and egg sauce today and hung out with Chinonso<\/a> and Festus<\/a> – the Frontend Overlord. They’re working on something that I can\u2019t wait to announce. Whoop Whoop, I\u2019m really excited! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

*whispers* Should I tell you? ? You have to promise not to say I told you, though. If not, they’d ban me and my big mouth from hanging with them ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of things being banned<\/a>… ??? I think that word gives me PTSD these days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other news, I got a Money Duo<\/a> notification shortly before I left the office. It was on my Duo request to T<\/a>. I haven’t seen it though, I’m too scared to check ? What if it’s an L? Ahhh, the ground would just open, and let me fall inside ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think I need to go home, shower, and tuck myself into bed before I check it, so I can bury my head in my pillow and cry myself to sleep (should the need arise). If y’all don’t hear from me tomorrow, just know it ended in tears and I’m inconsolably rolling on the floor in Lagos Island market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please don’t ask me why I picked Lagos Island market. It’s a long story ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ohh yay! Found my cab. Imagine where this driver parked! With how far I’ve walked to meet him, I might as well have just walked home ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ugh. Not me starting this entry with “this is going to be a short one”, and then going on to write an epistle. Smh, Ope, smh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, I have to go now. Let’s hope I don’t sleep in traffic today because of your president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
